Promethean Games at your school

At Promethean Games we run a Strategy Games and Modelling club at four different schools around Berkshire. Across the schools we have over 50 children signed up, who learn and play new and exciting board and card games every week after school, as well as making and painting a model each term which they can take home afterwards.

What we do

Every term we teach the children how to play an array of exciting strategy games, including Magic: The Gathering, Hero Quest, Forbidden Island, Backpacker, Dominion, Escape, King of Tokyo, Carcassonne and much more. As well as the excitement and fun of playing games, the sessions are designed to develop team working skills, as well as critical thinking and mental arithmetic.

“Tuesdays have quickly become his favourite day at school, looking forward to when Promethean Games visits in the afternoon.”

Making a model

Included in the price for the after-school sessions, each child gets to brain-storm, build and paint a model. One term we may put together an intricate dwarf model, and the next we might look at creating a knight mounted on his trusty steed. The children learn how to safely use hobby tools and paints, as well as think about what makes a dramatic model and the story which a model can tell.

Competitions

Each term we run competitions for who can come up with the most creative designs or tell the best story when it comes to playing some of our games. In the past we have run a design-your-own-dungeon competition, as well as coming up with your own character for role-playing in some of the more exciting games.
